Gourmet Market Hall

Madrid, Spain Retail 4,200 sqm 2021

Project Overview

Gourmet Market Hall is a premium culinary destination in Madrid, Spain, spanning 4,200 square meters in a beautifully restored historic building in the city center. Flourish Furniture was commissioned to provide furniture solutions for this high-end food market, featuring 42 vendor stalls, multiple dining areas, and social spaces designed to elevate the gastronomic experience.

The project required creating a balance between rustic authenticity and contemporary comfort, developing furniture systems that could withstand intensive daily use while enhancing the market's premium culinary offerings and preserving the architectural character of the historic space.

Client Needs

The market developers needed furniture that could create distinct atmospheres for different zones while maintaining a cohesive design language, withstand heavy traffic and food-service conditions, and adapt to the historic building's unique characteristics.

Our Solution

We developed a comprehensive furniture program that blends Spanish craftsmanship with modern functionality, featuring custom vendor stalls, varied dining configurations, and communal seating areas that encourage visitors to linger and enjoy the market experience.
